Meta’s New Incognito Chat Could Change How People Use WhatsApp Forever

The most significant one is that Incognito Chat is temporary. After a session is over or the user exits the app, the conversation will self-destruct. The account does not have any saved logs, searchable account history, or stored AI interactions.

Why Meta Thinks Users Need This
Meta thinks there are many users who would like to use AI for very personal topics, but are reluctant to do so due to privacy concerns. Meta will reportedly be continuing to use the same Private Processing technology as in Incognito Chat, indicating that the company intends to bring private AI interactions to other parts of its platforms as well.
