At what point does a box office run stop being “impressive” and start becoming slightly unreal? That’s where Dhurandhar is right now. What began as a strong opening has quietly turned into something much bigger, the kind of theatrical run that makes trade analysts sit up, recalibrate expectations, and ask the question nobody was seriously asking a couple of weeks ago: could Dhurandhar actually reach ₹1000 crore at the box office?
It’s a massive number, no doubt. But when you look at how this film is behaving not just on weekends, but on working weekdays, the curiosity suddenly makes sense.
How Dhurandhar turned its second week into a statement
The second week is usually where films slow down. Collections soften, footfalls dip, and the buzz moves on. Dhurandhar, however, chose a very different route.
As per official trade figures shared on X by analyst Taran Adarsh, Dhurandhar became the first Hindi film ever to cross ₹200 crore in its second week, and it did so in just five days. By the end of Day 12, the film stood at ₹428.50 crore net in India. The momentum hasn’t slowed and according to Hindustan Times, the film surpassed ₹452.1 crore by Day 14, beating its Week 1 haul and continuing its record-breaking run.
What makes this even more remarkable is the context. These numbers came without discounted ticket pricing, on regular working days, and for an A-certified film, a combination that rarely produces such sustained results. In simple terms, this wasn’t a fluke weekend spike. This was momentum.
Why Dhurandhar’s box office run feels unusually solid
Big openings grab headlines, but steady holds build legacies, and this is where Dhurandhar is quietly winning. During its second weekend, the film posted strong figures across all three days, followed by weekdays that refused to collapse. That kind of consistency tells the trade something important: audiences aren’t rushing in and disappearing. They’re staying engaged.
This pattern is often seen in films that benefit from strong word of mouth rather than pure hype. Instead of burning bright and fading fast, Dhurandhar has settled into a rhythm, and that rhythm is exactly what keeps long-term milestones in play.
What Dhurandhar still needs to reach ₹1000 crore
Now for the honest part. Reaching ₹1000 crore is not just about a powerful domestic run. It’s about longevity, overseas traction, and surviving competition. The overseas collection stands at $17 million, making the combined collection around ₹674 crore.
While Dhurandhar has ticked the first box convincingly, the next few weeks will decide how far it can really go. With major global releases and the Christmas slate entering theatres, screen sharing becomes tougher. That said, trade chatter suggests Dhurandhar is expected to remain a strong contender even amid new arrivals, not an easy feat this late into a run.
At this stage, projections are best kept cautious. The film is clearly headed for an elite finish, but the final number will depend on how well it holds when the market gets crowded.
Where Dhurandhar stands right now and why the question matters
What’s beyond debate is this: Dhurandhar has already achieved something rare. Crossing ₹452.1 crore net in India and ₹674 crore globally in fourteen days places it firmly among the most significant Hindi box office performers of recent years.
So, will it make ₹1000 crore?
Right now, the film is doing the one thing it absolutely needs to do to stay relevant every single day. Whether that translates into a four-digit global total remains to be seen, but the fact that the question feels reasonable tells you everything about the kind of run this film is having. And honestly, that’s what makes watching its box office journey so much fun.
